Here in the marine park, we take photographs of the turtle's cheeks whenever possible. These photos are then run through our database using I3S which uses the distinct patterns of the scales to identify an individual; very much like fingerprints for humans. Since 2016 we have encountered quite a few turtles, some on many occasions and others less frequently. Hover over the pictures below to discover the identity of a specific turtle. A turtle with the name Cerf.YYYY.### tells you when it was first encountered. IE: Cerf.2016.004 was the 4th individual spotted in the year 2016.

*Your adoption is valid for 1 year at which you will be able to name your turtle (from Cerf.YYY.### to Tedmund or whatever your heart desires). You'll also receive a digital adoption pack containing: 5 high quality photos of turtles we've encountered, an adoption certificate, dates, location and behaviour of your individual, as well as informational fact sheets on sea turtles.

Our coral restoration portion of the project, much like our coral, has been growing and expanding. It is our goal to rehabilitate the reefs through the use of coral gardening and artificial frames.
